CYC Fitness: National cycling studio launches in Madison

Founding partners, Stephen Nekton, and UW-Madison graduate and Marquis Jets co-founder Kenny Dichter are set to bring the indoor cycling craze to Madison next weekend with the launch of the first CYC Fitness studio.

The Details:

Rides are powered by new, on-board cycling technology and a total-body method crafted by acclaimed fitness instructor Keoni Hudoba. A single 45-60min session can burn up to 800 calories.

Tools will allow riders to set multi-class distance goals, compete against other racers and meet the cyclists around them. By the end of the year, CYC will integrate its new proprietary social technology to enhance the overall cycling experience.

A unique CYC-sponsored giving program means every mile ridden raises money for charity, with a yearly goal of 1 million miles. This year’s charities include Boys and Girls Club of Dane County and the UW Children’s Hospital as well as CYC’s national partnership with Challenged Athletes Foundation, CAF.

CYC is poised to inaugurate a second studio in Texas-Austin in November, and plans to open CYC studios in 20+ college markets by 2015.

Experience CYC for yourself and meet the founders:

Join us for the grand opening on Wednesday, October 25 at 10 a.m. at the CYC Fitness studio, located at 773 University Avenue, #205, in Madison.

A 15-minute, full-class demonstration will be held (great visual), followed by interview opportunities with the co-founders, trainers and riders.
