DATCP: Corn growers elect three to State Corn Board

MADISON – The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced today that three corn growers were elected to the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board.

Thomas Gillis of Roberts, District 2, and Ken Rosenow of Oconomowoc, District 7, were re-elected. Randall Woodruff of Chippewa Falls, District 1, was newly elected to the board as a write-in candidate. These elected members will start their terms on February 1, 2011 and serve until January 31, 2014.

The following counties comprise each district:

* District 1 – Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Vilas, Burnett, Washburn, Sawyer, Price, Oneida, Polk, Barron, Rusk, Lincoln, Chippewa, Taylor, Eau Claire, Clark, Marathon, Jackson, Wood, Portage, and Waupaca.

* District 2 – St. Croix, Dunn, Pierce, Pepin, Buffalo, and Trempealeau.

* District 7 – Green Lake, Dodge, Washington, Ozaukee, Waukesha, and Milwaukee.

Other members of the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board include:

* District 3 – Ron Fenner, Ripon (Forest, Florence, Marinette, Langlade, Oconto, Shawano, Door, Outagamie, Brown, Kewaunee, Winnebago, Calumet, Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, and Sheboygan counties)

* District 4 – Cal Dalton, Pardeeville (Monroe, Juneau, Adams, Waushara, Marquette, and Columbia counties)

* District 5 – Joe Zenz, Lancaster (La Crosse, Vernon, Crawford, Richland, Grant, Iowa, and Lafayette counties)

* District 6 – Howard Hartmann, Prairie du Sac (Sauk and Dane counties)

* District 8 – David J. Adams, Lake Geneva (Jefferson, Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha counties)

* District 9 – Randy Hughes, Janesville (Green and Rock counties)
