Miron Construction: Local construction companies celebrate completion of new equine-assisted youth counseling center for CHAPS Academy

VISUAL On Tuesday, November 30th, from 3:30 – 7 p.m., CHAPS Academy, Miron Construction Co., Inc., Hoffman LLC. and Keller Inc. will celebrate the completion of an addition to CHAPS Academy Equine-Assisted Youth Counseling Center. Demonstrations and tours will take place throughout the event. A formal dedication ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. The new facility houses an equine arena and creative counseling center.

CHAPS Academy is a nonprofit organization, governed by Christian values, dedicated to the strength, health and well-being of those who live in our community. Their mission is to serve children and families dealing with emotional or behavioral difficulties through the use of equine-assisted activities.

CHAPS Academy had quickly outgrown its original facility and the need for additional space to counsel clients became imperative. A unique alliance was formed between construction competitors: Miron, Hoffman and Keller. Determined to help make this dream a reality, the firms joined forces and worked to secure additional team members for the project. The group of more than 43 companies donated their services, resources and materials at no cost to the client.
