Green Bay, Wisconsin — The Dairy Business Association (DBA) is proud to endorse the following candidates for election on November 2, 2010. Each candidate has earned our endorsement by responding to candidate questionnaires, in-person interviews and past voting records.

Congressional District 1 – Paul Ryan

Congressional District 5 – Jim Sensenbrenner

Congressional District 6 – Tom Petri

Congressional District 7 – Sean Duffy

Congressional District 8 – Reid Ribble

“We are proud to endorse these candidates because we know they have the tools needed for establishing a stable price for milk so that our farmers can better plan for the future,” commented Jerry Meissner, DBA President. “Our farmers need predictability so they can do what they do best — generate economic activity and create jobs.”

With $26.5 billion in annual economic activity, the dairy industry means more to Wisconsin than citrus means to Florida or potatoes to Idaho. “The candidates we’ve endorsed for Congress understand the importance of dairy to a healthy economy in Wisconsin,” commented Laurie Fischer, DBA Executive Director. “We trust they will work to stabilize milk prices and reduce the overall burden of government on dairy farmers.”
