Green Bay, Wisconsin — Ron Johnson, candidate for the U.S. Senate, has earned the endorsement of the Dairy Business Association (DBA) in the November 2, 2010 general election. Mr. Johnson understands how important the dairy industry is to Wisconsin and the need to advance policy items that enhance the $26 billion industry.

“Since we endorsed Ron in the primary election, we’ve only grown more confident in his ability to get policies enacted that would provide stability for our dairy businesses,” commented Laurie Fischer, Executive Director of DBA. “We have been honored to have Ron attend some of our events where he listened to our members’ concerns about the direction our federal government has gone.”

Ron is the co-owner of PACUR, an Oshkosh-based company which manufactures specialty plastics used in medical device packaging and printing applications. “Ron’s business has struggled with the same regulatory nightmare dairy farmers face,” said Jerry Meissner, DBA President. “He knows how difficult it is to be competitive at not only a state level, but also in the global economy. Ron will work to open and expand trade markets to allow all businesses, including dairy businesses, more opportunity to compete.”
