Jamey Rappis

Rappis is one of the leaders of Clifton Gunderson’s Private Tax consulting practice, and serves as the firm’s leader of the IRS Rulings and Procedure niche. He has extensive experience in the areas of estate & gift tax, estate & business succession planning, and retirement planning. Jamey leads the Private Tax consulting practice leveraging his tax and estate planning expertise across the firm to high net worth families and individuals. He is Clifton Gunderson’s lead in reviewing and monitoring legislative, regulatory, and case law activity and is responsible for providing a national tax presence on high level tax consulting with new prospects and current clients in the areas of estate planning and business succession planning. With more than 17 years of experience, Jamey is a licensed attorney and has an extensive background with a specific emphasis on IRS controversies, including field, appellate and tax court audit levels. Jamey has been involved in hundreds of IRS controversies, on both the side of the taxpayer and the government.

Jeffrey R. Secord, CFP

Secord serves as managing director for the Downstate Illinois practice and is located in the Peoria, Illinois, office. With more than 33 years of experience in the financial services industry, Secord’s area of expertise includes retirement income distributions, financial education, personal financial planning, investment planning, risk management, small business planning and qualified retirement plans.

John P. Lehman, CPA

Lehman is the partner in charge of the Peoria, Illinois office. With more than 25 years of experience, he specializes in providing the following services: tax and financial planning, business succession planning, estate and gift tax planning, retirement planning, and income tax compliance including tax planning issues specifically relating to the minimization of unrelated business income tax, choice of entity – for-profit vs. not-for-profit, and preservation of tax-exempt status. Kevin Wadle, CPA

Wadle is a senior tax manager in the Peoria, Illinois office. With more than 30 years of experience, he specializes in providing the following services: tax and financial planning; estate and gift tax planning; income tax compliance; and qualified and non-qualified benefit plans including representation in front of the IRS and DOL, and assistance in maintaining the tax status of benefit plans. Wadle also has significant experience with income tax planning and preparation for individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, fiduciaries and corporations. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
