Chili, Wisconsin — Jerry Meissner, President of the Dairy Business Association, released the following statement regarding the recent death of Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Production (DATCP) Secretary Rod Nilsestuen:

“On behalf of the Dairy Business Association, we wish to express our deepest sympathies to the family of Secretary Rod Nilsestuen. Rod was a true friend of our farming community and a leader in the resurgence of Wisconsin’s dairy industry,” said Meissner. “While he will be remembered for his professional accomplishments as Wisconsin’s Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, we will remember him most for the care he took in making sure all voices were heard on the issues important to rural Wisconsin.”
