MADISON – Wisconsin’s reputation as a place for technology innovation and development got another boost when Forbes Magazine included University Research Park & MGE Innovation Center at the University of Wisconsin on their list of “10 Technology Incubators Changing the World.”

“Wisconsin has a great opportunity to continue to capitalize on the incredible resources our state has in new and emerging technologies,” said Thad Nation, Executive Director of Wired Wisconsin. “Being included on this list demonstrates just how important supporting technology start-ups is for Wisconsin in terms of job creation and economic growth.”

The list, which includes tech incubators all over the world, singled out the University of Wisconsin Research Park for hosting over 110 technology companies that employ 3,500 people. The Research Park, founded in 1984, offers companies over 1.8 million square feet of traditional office and laboratory space.
