Board approves $10.25 million for new village campus

Mt. Pleasant, Wis. – The Mount Pleasant Village Board on Monday approved $10.25 million in funding for a new village campus project, the contract for which has been awarded to Miron Construction Co., Inc.

The project will include a new village hall and a new police station, and will ultimately more than triple the square footage of the two current buildings combined.

“We’re very pleased to be a part of this project, and we’re excited that we’re one step closer to being able to start construction,” said Klaus Lemke, Vice President of Milwaukee Operations for Miron.

Construction on the project is slated to begin early this summer with completion expected in the first quarter of 2011.

Miron recently announced that the company would be opening a new, 10,000-square-foot office in the Milwaukee County Research Park to help better manage and pursue work in Southeast Wisconsin.
