The Potawatomi are focused on dealing with the Republican and Kenosha dog track lawsuits that are threatening the very existence of Indian gaming, 35,000 jobs and Wisconsin’s and Milwaukee’s tourism economy. This announcement of an off-reservation casino is meaningless if the Alabama dog track owner and Republican lawsuits against Indian gaming are eventually successful.

We have not had an opportunity to review this off-reservation casino proposal. Therefore, we do not know its full impact on Milwaukee.

We find it surprising that while an Alabama dog track owner is trying to transform a dog track into an off-reservation casino he is also trying to convince the courts that Indian casinos are illegal.
