EAU CLAIRE, WI – Applied Data Consultants, Inc. (ADC), one of the largest geographic information systems (GIS) and web development firms in the Midwest with headquarters in Eau Claire, Wis., and a branch in Omaha, Neb., announces it has created a new division and has promoted and hired personnel to manage the new division, as well as to staff other key positions within the company.

The Elite EXTRA Division was created in response to the successful sales of the Elite EXTRA (Extreme Tracking and Routing Application) web-based routing and tracking tool that the company launched in May.

According to Jim Ward, President and CEO of ADC, integration with Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems, as well as a contract with Factory Motor Parts (FMP) to roll out the product to their 60 stores in 17 states has created a need for a separate division to handle both the sales and support of the product. It has also meant additional promotions and hires.

“Initial sales of Elite EXTRA have been so promising that we have created a new division devoted solely to supporting this product,” said Ward. “Elite EXTRA has given us a tremendous opportunity for growth that will be both exciting and challenging.”

Heading up the new Elite EXTRA division will be Ross Kleiner, Business Development Manager and Lori Liddell, Operations Manager. Kleiner has been with ADC for eight years and previously serviced as Manager of the ADZMAR Division. Liddell joined ADC in 2006 and previously managed the GIS Technology Division.

“Lori and Ross have been incredible assets to the company and have been instrumental in the development and growth of Elite EXTRA,” said Ward. “I am confident in their abilities to not only lead the Elite EXTRA team, but to help grow the division and the product.”

In addition, Carrie Morrell has been promoted to Manager of the GIS Technology Division, and has been with ADC since 2005. She previously served as a Senior GIS Technician. Morrell will manage most of ADC’s GIS contracts, including plat books, parcel mapping and other GIS-related business ventures.

ADC has also hired three new employees, including:

* Pete Halseth, who joins the Software Development Division as a Software Engineer. Halseth comes to ADC with over a decade of experience in web design and application development.

* George Carlsen, who joins the Software Development Division as a Software Engineer. Carlsen recently received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics from UW-Stevens Point and previously served as a GIS intern.

* Lindsay Olson, who joins the Marketing and Technology Departments as a Project Analyst. Olson graduated from UW-Eau Claire in December with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in GIS. Olson also as an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from the Chippewa Valley Technical College.

“We’re fortunate to attract some of the best and brightest to ADC,” said Ward. “Carrie has earned her promotion through hard work and an eye toward customer satisfaction, and we’re proud to welcome the caliber of people we were able to find in Pete, George and Lindsay.”
