MILWAUKEE, WI – The following announcement was made at the December Board of Directors Meeting of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation:

“Since 2000, the Green Bay Packers and NFL Charities have recognized outstanding volunteers within the state of Wisconsin through the Green Bay Packers Community Quarterback Award. The award honors outstanding volunteers who demonstrate leadership, dedication, and a commitment to bettering their communities through volunteerism.

Numerous nomination forms for this award were submitted for consideration. After careful review of all nominations received, it is our pleasure to announce that George Liberatore has been selected as one of the recipients for this award.

All recipients of the Green Bay Packers Community Quarterback award will be honored at a recognition dinner scheduled for Thursday, January 21, 2010, in the Legends Club at Lambeau Field.”

Liberatore is being honored for his work with the Wisconsin Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, where he has served on the board for more than 10 years, four years as its Chairman. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Regional Reorganization Council and is a member of the National Board of Directors.
