Economic Survey Results for Northeast Wisconsin

APPLETON, WI – NOVEMBER 23, 2009 – First Business Bank, along with the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research at the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Business, and the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, will release the results of the 2009 First Business Economic Survey of Northeast Wisconsin at the First Business Economic Forum scheduled for December 17, 2009 from 3:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Butte Des Morts Country Club.

This is the only economic survey specific to Northeast Wisconsin. It analyzes common business indicators such as sales revenue, total-operating costs as a percentage of revenue, changes in wages, and profitability gathered from CEOs, CFOs, and owners of Northeast Wisconsin businesses. This is the second year the survey has been conducted.

The forum will begin with registration at 3:45 p.m. followed at 4:00 p.m. by a presentation by Dr. E. Alan Hartman, Professor of Management and Human Resources and Former Dean of the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on the results of the survey. A panel discussion of local business owners moderated by Margaret LeBrun, Co-Publisher & Executive Editor of Insight Publications, will follow.

The survey was prepared by Paul Hahn, Quincy Long, and David Sheppard of the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research at the UW-Madison School of Business.

The forum is open to the media and by invitation only to the local business community.
