MADISON – Discover Mediaworks, an industry leader in integrated communications and strategic media services, is pleased to announce that D.P. Knudten, a leading-edge creative director who has managed award-winning campaigns for nationally known brands, has joined Discover Mediaworks as the company’s Creative Director.

Knudten brings a comprehensive creative background to his new position and has extensive experience in directing creative projects in traditional advertising, strategic brand management, and interactive marketing. He will manage creative teams for print, video, Web and branding campaign projects as Discover Mediaworks refines the company’s award-winning television programs, develops new media properties, and expands into new products and services for a wide variety of local, statewide and national clients.

Knudten was previously the Creative Director for Madison-based Waldbillig & Besteman Advertising, where he managed all creative work for a diverse list of national, local and non-profit clients. A graduate of UW-Stevens Point, he pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Southern California before starting his career in advertising and marketing 1993. He worked for large agencies, such as internationally known DDB Needham, and also served as a consulting creative director for boutique shops and independent clients in Denver and Madison. His career has included projects for some of the biggest – and smallest – brands in the business, including Coca-Cola, Georgia-Pacific and Miller Brewing Co.
