Wisconsin BBB: Names 2009 Business Ethics Award winners

Milwaukee, Wis. – The Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin is pleased to announce the winners of its prestigious 2009 Torch Awards for Business Ethics and Integrity.

The four winners were selected by an independent panel of nine business ethics experts and announced at a ceremony in Milwaukee on Tuesday, October 13th. The winners were chosen based on submissions that demonstrated excellence in ethical practices, service excellence, reputation, honest advertising, peer recognition, management practices and employee training in ethical behavior. The winners are:

Charity – Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin, Butler, Patti Gorsky, president.

Category I (1 to 5 employees) – Mouse Bytez, Oak Creek, Jillian Ochoa, president.

Category II (6 to 50 employees) – All American Window & Door Company, Germantown, Terri and Ben Lodwick, owners.

Category III (51 to 500 employees) – PyraMax Bank, Greenfield, Richard Hurd, CEO.

In addition to the above winners, the following awards were given:

Charity – CARITAS for Children, Milwaukee (runner up); Intercession, Inc., Milwaukee (honorable mention).

Category I – Apple Awards, Hayward (runner up); tie – Cobblestone Builders, Menomonee Falls, and Tucker Family Construction, Brodhead (honorable mention).

Category II – Ellenbecker Investment Group, Pewaukee (runner up); tie – Great Lakes Roofing Corporation, Germantown & Menasha, and H.E. Stark Agency, Madison (honorable mention).

Category III – WeatherTight Corporation, West Allis (runner up); Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Southeast Wisconsin, Milwaukee (honorable mention).
