NEW NORTH, October 7, 2009 – The October 14th deadline is approaching for the New North’s annual People, Possibilities, and Progress Diversity Award, sponsored by Kimberly-Clark.

The award recognizes companies in Northeast Wisconsin that have demonstrated a commitment to embracing diversity through management, marketing, and vendor selection practices, as well as community leadership and company values.  The winner will be announced at the 2009 New North Summit on December 8th in Green Bay.

“We’re very pleased to have the opportunity to honor and celebrate the companies and organizations in the New North that are committed to diversity in the workplace,” said Jerry Murphy, Executive Director of the New North, Inc.  “We look forward to evaluating this year’s nominees.”

This year’s award is the third annual for the New North. Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College were the recipients in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
