Applied Tech: Provides green IT makeover contest winner, Clean Wisconsin, with $25,000 worth of green IT products and services

MADISON –Applied Tech and sponsors announced a Green IT Makeover contest for Wisconsin-based businesses during 2008. Businesses were encouraged to apply for a chance to win environmentally-friendly products and services from Applied Tech, Focus on Energy, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, WatchGuard and others. The Grand Prize Package was valued at over $25,000.

Clean Wisconsin was granted the winner of the Grand Prize Package and installation began in 2009. As the winner, Clean Wisconsin received a new HP server, HP LCD monitors, WatchGuard Firewall, a backup solution, uninterruptible power supply, installation and configuration services, an energy assessment from Focus on Energy, MeGoGreen coupon books and more!

Included in the Grand Prize Package, Clean Wisconsin received professionally electronics recycling. Applied Tech was able to remove 395 pounds of electronic waste from their office and have it properly recycled by File 13 of Verona.
