Beloit, WI – The Stateline World Trade Association (SLWTA) welcomes Mary Lynn Murtaugh, President of Global Back Office, LLC to its January 22, 2009 dinner meeting held at The Beloit Inn, 500 Pleasant St., at 5:30 p.m. Mary Lynn will be speaking on the Basics of Export Trade Compliance Issues.

Mary Lynn Murtaugh has more than 30 years of international business experience in logistics, manufacturing, sales, banking and consulting. Her professional accomplishments in sales and operational management have provided her with a solid understanding of the opportunities, challenges and resources facing today’s global companies.

A key challenge facing all US exporters is understanding and managing US export trade compliance regulations. Mary Lynn’s presentation will include topics such as: What is Global Trade Compliance, Risks, Benefits & Challenges, Key Export Compliance Requirements, Documenting the Process, and Recent Regulatory Changes, Issues and Fines. Mary Lynn will also offer practical tips, suggested resources and tools to assist in integrating these requirements in your export order cycle.

The SLWTA was formed in 1987 to promote an understanding and appreciation of the international marketplace. Meeting will start with networking and cash bar at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:15pm, and program immediately following. Cost: members $25, non-members $30 and students w/ID $15.
