ZD Studios, a Madison, Wis, visual branding firm, has completed the environmental branding of the Wisconsin Historical Society and its 10 historic sites throughout the state.
The new logos are being unveiled on the revamped Wisconsin Historical Society website and are being used at Old World Wisconsin, Wade House, Villa Louis, Circus World, Madeline Island Museum, H.H. Bennett Studio, Pendarvis, Stonefield, First Capitol, and Reed School.
The logos, which include a signature identity for each individual site, also offer a consistent design to link the sites and the Madison headquarters, providing a unified look, according to Mark Schmitz, president and creative director at ZD Studios. In addition, ZD Studios created colorful exterior banners for the society headquarters in Madison
and directional signage is underway inside the building to further enhance the environmental branding theme.
ZD Studios has already received an award for the Wisconsin Historical Society comprehensive identity program from the American Corporate Identity annual design competition. Design firms from 23 countries competed.
