According to the report, foreclosures in the first six months of 2008 far outpace the same time period in 2007. In the months January through June of 2007 there were 9,254 foreclosures filed. During the same period in 2008, there were 12,523 filed. Dane County had one of the largest jumps in foreclosure filings with an increase of 56%.
