March 28: Medicaid expansion: Is it right for Wisconsin?

Medicaid expansion has become one of the key debating points in the state budget. Gov. Tony Evers proposed it in his two-year spending plan, but Republicans say it’s a non-starter.

Hear the details from key players in the debate at a WisPolitics.com issues forum set for Thursday, March 28 at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.

Jim Jones, the Medicaid director for Gov. Tony Evers’ health department, will provide the administration’s point of view. Then two key members of the Assembly Health Committee — Committee Chairman Joe Sanfelippo, R-New Berlin, and Rep. Daniel Riemer, D-Milwaukee — will provide the legislative point of view.

The agenda:
11:30 a.m.: Check-in, boxed lunches available
11:55 a.m.: Introductions
Noon to 12:25 p.m.: Remarks by Director Jones with some audience questions
12:25 p.m. to 1 p.m.: Discussion between Reps. Sanfelippo and Riemer
