ADHD America & i.c.stars: Partner on digital healthcare application

MILWAUKEE (October 29, 2018) – 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organizations, ADHD America.org and i.c.stars |* Milwaukee have partnered to build an end-to-end Amazon Web Services (AWS)-powered digital healthcare smartphone application called ADHDmyway. i.c.stars |* Milwaukee’s second cycle of interns are currently working with ADHD America’s Founders on the app, which will serve as their client project over the next 4 months of their internship. Once completed, the application will be offered to school-aged children who have been diagnosed with ADHD (approx. 7M+ US) at no cost.

“The objective of the application is to incorporate the latest ADHD strategies to improve and manage ADHD symptoms, then use AWS machine-learning models as a mechanism to create a customized Virtual ADHD Coach,” says, Ann Pieper, Founder and Creator of ADHDmyway and ADHD Coach and Founder of the ADHD Center of Milwaukee. This will enable end-users of the application to have a more holistic management program which is unique to their symptomatology. “The goal ofADHDmyway is to improve performance in school and in life,” continues Pieper.

According to Andy Hall, CTO, ADHD America and Lead Architect of ADHDmyway, “Features of the application will include a gamified user experience, a Blockchain Digital Passport, IoT-enabled devise data integration, industry compliance through Trend Micro’s Deep Security, mindfulness practices, and end-user aptitude workforce development identification.”

“This project is a great example of the impactful ways in which these partnerships can be mutually beneficial. We gain a powerful training model for our interns who will soon take leadership positions in the workforce, while our partner gains a technical solution that advances their mission“ says Sarah Dollhausen, General Manager of i.c.stars |* Milwaukee.

“We are excited to be working with such an incredible partner as i.c.stars. Two non-for-profit organizations working together to design and build a solution targeting such an underserved community, is a dream come true.” Chip Pieper, President, ADHD America, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization.

i.c.stars is a workforce development nonprofit and social enterprise that trains highly talented, underserved young adults for technology careers and community leadership.
