MADISON, WI – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin began a grassroots activist campaign today to recognize five key lawmakers for their efforts to create jobs by reforming Wisconsin’s burdensome, outdated occupational licensing laws. The door hangers thank Senators Alberta Darling and Chris Kapenga as well as Representatives Dale Kooyenga, Rob Hutton, and John Nygren for championing occupational licensing reform to help Wisconsin businesses grow by removing these costly barriers to opportunity.

“Businesses thrive and communities prosper when government gets out of the way,” said AFP-Wisconsin State Director Eric Bott. “With this effort, our activists wanted to recognize and thank these five leaders for their commitment to removing barriers to opportunity, cutting costly government red tape and providing a consistent regulatory environment. AFP-Wisconsin’s base of over 130,000 grassroots activists will continue to encourage lawmakers to work to fix our broken occupational licensing laws so all Wisconsinites can pursue their version of the American dream.”
