Blackhawk Technical College: To host four career fairs in April

JANESVILLE, WI – – Blackhawk Technical College will open its doors to students and district residents alike during the first week of April with four career fairs. More than 75 private and public businesses and organizations from Wisconsin and northern Illinois are scheduled to attend. These FREE events will provide a perfect opportunity for those looking to rejuvenate or expand their employment status in the areas of manufacturing, business, automotive or health sciences.

The Health Science Career Fair is first on the list. It will be Monday, April 3, in BTC’s newly remodeled, state of the art Health Science wing on the central campus, 6004 S. County Rd. G, Janesville, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Representatives from the following companies are expected to attend: ActiKare, Alden Estates, Alden Meadow Park Rehab and Health Care, Aurora Health Care, Beloit Health System, BrightStar Care, Department of Veteran Affairs, Dungarvin Wisconsin, LLC, Edgerton Care Center, Edgerton Hospital and Health Services, Forward Dental, Froedtert Health, Genesee Community Services, Heartland Hospice, The Heights of Evansville Manor, Home Instead Senior Care, Maxim Healthcare Services, MCFI Home Care, Mercy Health System, Premier Medical Staffing Services, Premier Rehab and Skilled Nursing, REM Wisconsin, Riverfront, Rock County, SSM Health, Tender Reflections Assisted Living, Unity Point Health, Upper Iowa University, UW Health, The Villa at Middleton Village, Walgreens, Walworth County, Willowick Assisted Living and Zimmerman Management Group.

Tuesday, April 4 will be the Manufacturing Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, 15 Plumb St., Milton, WI. Companies represented will be: Aerotek, Alliant Energy, American Extrusion International, Basin Precision Machining LLC, Bell Laborartories, Inc, Crown Equipment, Dollar General Distribution, GOEX, Hufcor Inc., Hughes Resources, Kelly Services, Kuhn North America, Inc., Lowes Milwork, METCO, Monroe Truck Equipment, Inc., Morgan Corporation, MPC, Inc., MPC Inc., North American Tool Corporation, Orchid Monroe, Overhead Door Co. of Madison, Panoramic, Inc., Precision Drive and Control, Inc., Precision Plus, Prent Corporation, QPS Employment Group, RathGibson, Regal Beloit, RR Donnelley, Schenck Process LLC, Seneca Foods Corp, Staff on Site, Sub-Zero Group, Inc., The Scharine Group, Tigre ADS, TST and United Alloy.

Wednesday, April 5 will be the Business Career Fair, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the central campus. Participating companies include: Attic Angel Community, Blackhawk Transport, Blain’s Farm and Fleet, Davis and Associates, Inc., Department of Veteran Affairs, Fastenal Co., g4S Secure Solutions, Kalahari Resort and Convention Center, Kelly Services, Kobussen Buses Ltd., Mercy Health System, Old Navy, Opportunities, Inc., Rock County, Straight Forward, Upper Iowa University, Walgreens and West Corporation.

Thursday, April 6 will be the Automotive Career Fair, from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the Center for Transportation Studies, 1740 W US Hwy 14, Janesville, WI. Company attendees will include: Blackhawk Transport, CIT Trucks, Crown Equipment, Crown Lift Trucks, Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc., Fagan Automotive, Mike’s Auto Repair, Lawrence National, Patten CAT, Ryder Transportation, Truck County/McCoy National, Wisconsin Kenworth/Dedicated Fleet Service/Dearth Automotive and Wisconsin Truck.
