Field59: Community newspaper Holdings, Inc. chooses Field59 for online video solutions

Madison, WI – Field59, a premier online video management system for live streaming and video-on-demand solutions, today welcomed CNHI as their newest partner in the media space.

Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. is a leading publisher of local news and information for more than 130 communities in 23 states. This partnership will allow CNHI to live stream breaking news, generate and distribute video for use among multiple newsrooms, and upload video shot with mobile devices from reporters in the field. CNHI will launch 22 properties on Field59’s platform in February, with more expected later this year.

“We’re excited to start live streaming our breaking news stories and creating centralized content to be used across multiple properties,” said Kayla Castille, Vice President of Content Development at CNHI. “Our newsrooms work every day to provide the best local news and information to our audiences, and video is an important platform for informing and engaging them. Our vendors need to be true partners, and Field59 is fully invested in our video strategy.”

CNHI is using BLOX CMS from TownNews.com for publishing online content, and Field59 has integrated directly into the BLOX CMS. This provides a streamlined workflow for CNHI newsrooms. Along with group level permissions and content sharing via the Field59 platform, CNHI news will be more efficient and faster to market than they were previously.

Field59 currently serves television broadcasters, newspapers and other premium content media companies with video capturing, editing, encoding, captioning, live streaming, delivery, and management solutions. “Our goal has always been to help media companies adapt to technology trends and grow with video,” said Derek Gebler, CEO and Founder of Field59. “Customers like CNHI are forward-thinking partners, and they trust our expertise. I’m looking forward to seeing what they accomplish using our platform. When our customers succeed, we succeed.”
