More than 54 million Americans are currently working out at boutique fitness studios, which makes it the fastest growing sector of the fitness industry. Lauren Schroeder, owner of CycleBar Mequon, said, “Mequon is such an active, vibrant area. CycleBar fits into our community’s health and fitness lifestyle while making the experience fun for both new and experienced riders.”

Schroeder has always had a passion for health and fitness. She played soccer and field hockey throughout her high school career at University School of Milwaukee, and she graduated in 2014 from Bowdoin College, where she played four years of field hockey and won two national championships.  She has also always been an avid runner, and since college has completed two full marathons, and several half-marathons, and she is currently training for this year’s Boston Marathon in April.  Her first year out of college she worked in Boston at Massachusetts General Hospital as a clinical research coordinator in the Anesthesia Department before moving back home to Wisconsin, changing career paths and joining the CycleBar franchise in September, 2015.

CycleBar offers a pay-per-class model, with no membership necessary. Concierge service and amenities include free towels, showers, lockers and shoes.

The dynamic classes take place in a state-of-the-art CycleTheatre and are led by CycleStar instructors who take participants through a 50-minute high energy ride. The CycleTheatre features tiers for 48 bikes plus LED lighting, wide-screen graphics and state-of-the-art audio with a DJ booth. Riders can also track performance data via CycleStats and can download music used in the class session. After class, riders cool down with fresh fruit and enhanced water, while aromatherapy helps guests relax throughout the facility. For more information, visit http://mequon.cyclebar.com.

CycleBar supports Susan G. Komen to raise funds for breast cancer awareness, the American Heart Association to raise funds for heart disease research and prevention, and The Movember Foundation to raise awareness for men’s health and well-being, just to name a few. CycleBar is always looking to partner with new charities and local organizations to raise awareness and funds for worthy causes through fun and inspiring charity rides held within the studio.
