AMTRAK MAKES MORE CONNECTIONS TO MADISON; Two routes to and from Chicago give customers more choices

CHICAGO – New Amtrak Thruway Bus Connections enable Amtrak passengers to choose one of two routes between Madison and the Amtrak Chicago Hub. Amtrak and Badger Buses now make connections to the popular Amtrak https://www.amtrak.com/hiawatha-train trains in Milwaukee in addition to the long-standing Coach USA/Van Galder buses to Chicago via Janesville, Wisc., and Rockford, Ill.

The two carriers combine to offer 13 daily round-trips, seven in each direction on Badger Bus that connect to the Hiawatha trains at the Milwaukee Intermodal Station to and from Chicago Union Station and eight in each direction on Van Galder that terminate at Union Station.

The new Thruway Bus Connections with Amtrak and Badger Buses also provide additional connections from Madison to the Empire Builder train Additionally, Amtrak offers service between Madison and Columbus in cooperation with Lamers Bus Lines with connections to the westbound Empire Builder at Columbus, Wisc.

The attached schedules, now bookable via Amtrak.com or by calling 800-USA-RAIL, connect Madison to more than 500 Amtrak destinations in 46 states, the District of Columbia and three Canadian Provinces.
