MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) installed Erik Sjowall of Madison as its new chairman of the board at its annual convention held in Wisconsin Dells last month. Sjowall will head one of Wisconsin’s largest trade associations, representing over 14,500 real estate brokers, salespeople and affiliates statewide. He succeeds the WRA’s 2015-16 chairman, K.C. Maurer of Appleton.

Sjowall began his career in real estate shortly after graduating from the University of St. Thomas-Minnesota in 1994. He joined Edina Realty Home Services as a sales agent in early 1995 and moved to the management team in 2000.

After six years of brokerage management, Sjowall moved with his family to Madison in 2006. Sjowall is now the president of Bunbury & Associates REALTORS®, a family-owned, full-service real estate brokerage serving South Central Wisconsin.

Sjowall has a passion for real estate and continually advocates for the real estate profession and private property rights.  He has served on various committees at the local, state and national levels. His service includes serving as the president of the REALTORS® Association of South Central Wisconsin, six-year director of the South Central MLS board and as the president of the MLS board in 2012.
