Cut for a Cure events held in 62 Beauty Salons

MILWAUKEE–October 6, 2016– The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: BONT) which operates Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers stores has officially begun its October tradition of raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. During the month of October all Bon-Ton Stores will feature a Pink Shop with unique merchandise and gift items with proceeds being donated to local and national breast cancer research centers. A selection of unique pink ribbon items will be available for purchase in all stores or online. Merchandise items include, active wear, tee shirts, zip-up quilted and fleece jackets, athletic shoes, socks, watches, plush bathrobes, cosmetics beauty items, tumblers and reusable tote bag. A portion of the proceeds from each item will be donated to breast cancer research hospitals and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In addition, through the company’s year-round Charge Against Breast Cancer™ program, every time a customer uses their store credit card, Bon-Ton makes a donation to fund breast cancer research. The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. has donated over five millions of dollars to support Breast Cancer Research since 1998.

On Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., select stores with Beauty Salons will host Cut for a Cure events to raise money for local breast cancer research programs to support women fighting this disease. During the event, guests will have the opportunity to receive beauty treatments including haircuts, mini facials, manicures, pedicures and more. 50 percent of the proceeds will be donated to local cancer centers to support breast cancer research.
