Milwaukee – First Capital Surety & Trust, one of the nation’s largest trust settlement firms, is announcing significant changes in almost all facets of the 17-year old company’s business. The company has been re-named Capital First Trust Company. Though headquartered in South Dakota, the Company maintains administrative offices in Milwaukee. North Carolina-based Gaston Capital Partners recently acquired the Company and has made significant changes including new additions to the management team, new office that triples the size of the office space, substantially enhanced new technologies and best practices, plus a new corporate identity. On July 25th the company moved to a 10,000 square foot space on the fourth floor of 234 Florida Street in the Historic Fifth Ward of the city where twenty-five employees will administer over $600 million in trust assets.

“First Capital Surety & Trust has long been one of the leading settlement trust companies in the country,” says Board Chairman Michael K. McMahan. “Our goal is to leverage the solid market position of the company and accelerate its growth under the new banner, Capital First Trust Company.”

McMahan’s vision is to broaden the success and grow the scope of the business. He and the board began this initiative by elevating David Eichenbaum, who has been with the company eight years, to Chief Executive Officer; and, Chris Foregger, who has spent his entire thirteen-year business career with the company, to President and Chief Operating Officer. Rounding out the senior management team required the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer and Kristin Beres has been tapped for that role. CEO David Eichenbaum said, “Kristin brings valuable insights and experience in establishing a firm financial foundation for growth. She has already added significantly to establishing financial controls upon which we can better serve our clients and deliver a robust expansion of our business.”
