MILWAUKEE, WI - Attorney Michael Maistelman has been selected as one of the "Rising Stars of Politics 2005" by Campaigns & Elections Magazine and will be featured in the May 2005 issue. (www.campaignline.com)

Each year Campaigns & Elections Magazine selects its Rising Stars, up-and-comers of the political world on the front lines of political consulting, political activism and campaign organizing. Governors, Senators, Members of Congress and other officeholders, as well as top political consultants and party leaders, nominate prospective “rising stars” based on their breakout work in politics.

This year Campaigns & Elections Magazine selected 10 Democrats, 10 Republicans and two international nominees. Maistelman joins a distinguished list of political movers and shakers who have received this recognition over the years, including James Carville, George Stephanopolous, Mary Matalin, Mike McCurry, Karen Hughes, Ralph Reed and former Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman.

Maistelman has gained a reputation as a tenacious advocate for Democratic candidates and organizations in election and campaign finance matter s in Wisconsin. His clients have included Governor Jim Doyle, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, South Milwaukee Mayor Dave Kieck, America Coming Together, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin, Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Senate Democratic Campaign Committee.

Maistelman resides in the Milwaukee area with his wife Heidi and their three children, Etan, Miriam, and Daniel.
