Badger Mining Corporation’s Lehman to lead organization’s efforts to promote education, environmental responsibility and economic sustainability

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Wisconsin Industrial Sand Association today announced that Marty Lehman, an Associate with Badger Mining Corp., has been elected as the organization’s president for 2015-16. Lehman and three other newly elected officers will lead WISA, an effort among some of the state’s leading industrial sand companies to promote safe and environmentally responsible sand mining standards, foster fact-based discussion and create a positive dialogue among the industry, citizens and Wisconsin government officials.

In addition to Lehman, WISA’s other 2015-16 officers are:

· Vice President – Aaron Scott, Regional Mine Manager for Fairmount Santrol
· Treasurer – Jason Tedrow, Vice President of Supply Chain, Growth & Development for U.S. Silica

· Secretary – Thomas Young, General Manager – Health, Safety & Environmental for Smart Sand

Rich Budinger, who served as president of WISA since its formation in 2012, will continue to serve the organization as immediate past-president. Budinger is Vice President of Sand Operations for Fairmount Santrol.

“Industrial sand mining is a century-old industry in Wisconsin, and it continues to play an important role in the state’s economy,” Lehman said. “WISA’s member companies strive to set a good example by following a mandatory Code of Conduct, participating in the Wisconsin DNR’s Green Tier program and working closely with regulators and public officials. We want our industry to continue to be an asset to the state by operating in ways that respect the environment, the land and neighboring communities, and we look forward to a productive year for the Association.”

The new officers begin their one-year terms immediately.
