Celebrate the Autumn Harvest at Old World Wisconsin

Eagle, WI. – Visit Old World Wisconsin during “Autumn on the Farms,” September 10 through October 31, to celebrate the autumn harvest and to help our farm families and villagers bring in the crops, stock the larder and put up produce for the winter.

“Autumn is an especially fun time for families at Old World Wisconsin,” said Dan Freas, director of Old World Wisconsin. “Our guests can help our historic farm families with a variety of unique seasonal activities like carding wool, baking bread or making sauerkraut.”

Each weekend during Autumn on the Farms will feature different seasonal activities. There will be fall planting and plowing with horses, preserving produce and meat for the winter, the last historic baseball game of the season, an Oktoberfest celebration and so much more. For a full list of activities, click here.

In keeping with the harvest theme, Old World Wisconsin is partnering with local food pantries in Eagle and Mukwonago to offer discounted admission for each guest that contributes a non-perishable food item. Adults and seniors will receive $2 off the regular admission fee and a $1 discount will be applied to each child ticket.

On Sunday, October 11 come and taste the autumn bounty at Old World Wisconsin’s 1894 Clausing Barn and enjoy a 19th century inspired harvest celebration. This dinner includes produce straight from the farms at Old World Wisconsin and the evening includes song, dance and music from the time period. For ticket information and to register, click here.
