Investors Community Bank recognized for being top lender in the nation

(Manitowoc, WI, July 31, 2015) — Investors Community Bank has been recognized by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) as a top producing lender in the nation for both Agricultural Lending and Total Overall Lending. The bank was ranked 3rd nationwide in “Agricultural Lending – Top 25 Community Banks with $500 Million or More in Assets” and 34th in “Total Overall Lending – Top 50 Community Banks with $500 Million or More in Assets.”

ICBA annually identifies community banks that have had success in generating solid loans. The group, which is the only national trade association dedicated exclusively to serving the interests of community banks, states that the top overall industry loan producers are those community banks with the highest percentage of overall loans by dollar value, to their total assets.

“This recognition affirms our success as a community bank; including being able to consistently book solid loans. Nothing is more fundamental to a community bank’s success than successful lending, and we are proud to thrive in one of the most fundamental measures of all—safely providing credit to our customers and communities. We are proud to be deeply ingrained in the communities we serve and grateful for the support of our customers,” said Investors Community Bank CEO Tim Schneider.

ICBA indicated that the top overall industry loan producers are those community banks with the highest percentage of overall loans by dollar value to their total assets. The top specialty lenders are those community banks with the highest percentage of loans by dollar value in the corresponding loan category—commercial loans (including commercial real estate loans); consumer loans (including residential mortgage loans); or agricultural loans—to their overall loan portfolio.

The community banks recognized in the listings were ICBA members in 2014 and earned a Kroll Bond Rating Agency rating of their financial condition of C or higher.

In addition to this recognition, Investors Community Bank was recently recognized by American Banker as one of the top 200 Best Performing Community banks in the nation, ranking number 178 overall based on a three year Average Return on Equity. Also, the bank’s organic growth in the ag sector was highlighted in an article at bankdirector.com entitled “A Tale of Three Growth Banks.”
