Appleton Housing Authority Hires New
Marketing/Development Director
APPLETON, WI (July 27, 2015) – The Appleton Housing Authority (AHA) has hired Lori Van Handel as its new Marketing/Development Director.
In her new role, Van Handel will be responsible for the coodination of all marketing, public relations and development efforts for the community agency, as well as the AHA’s Neighborhood Housing, Inc. (NHI) non-profit 501(c) (3) organization.
Van Handel brings more than 18 years of public relations, marketing and customer service experience to the position. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, Van Handel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio/TV/Film, with course emphasis in Public Relations and Journalism.
The AHA is the largest provider of affordable housing options in the Appleton area, serving over 900 families per year. The agency has operated rental housing, homeownership and family self-sufficiency programs along with other key housing-related programs in the Appleton community for over 47 years.
The AHA’s non-profit NHI organization is committed to affordable housing in the Fox Cities, as well as its successful partnership with the Appleton Area School District (AASD), which annually brings students from Appleton East, North and West High Schools together to build a new, affordable home or duplex for area families in need of an affordable residence.
