Annual Industry Event Caters to North American Homebuilding Executives with Advanced Educational Content, 2015 Avid Awards Dinner and PGA Championship VIP Event

MADISON, WI (July 22, 2015) – Avid® Ratings, the full-service customer engagement and loyalty management firm specializing in the home building industry, today announced the debut Avid Conference: Building Excellence & Innovation on August 12 – 14 in Madison, Wisconsin.

The annual conference caters to executives in the home building industry looking to expand knowledge of emerging trends in technology, homebuyer demands, and sales success techniques while networking and forging relationships with industry leaders. The event is expected to draw residential building industry participants from across the United States and Canada. International best selling author Chip Bell will keynote the event.

The conference will provide attendees with industry insight delivered in educational sessions and roundtables. Educational content will delve into a number of high-relevance topics with customer satisfaction and loyalty, technology’s influence on homebuilding and sales, building science and efficiency, new home quality measurement, homebuyer expectations and demands, and builder online reputation management all key focal areas.

“The Avid Conference will enable important discussions on where our industry is headed,” said Paul Cardis, CEO of Avid Ratings and organizer of the event. “The conference isn’t designed to compete with other builder focused conferences, but rather to dive deeply into specific topics such as technology and sales, and how these two areas are driving change in the residential building arena.”

The Avid Conference will feature international best selling author Chip Bell as the event keynote, presenting “Wired and Dangerous – How Corrupted Service Covenant Impacts New Homes Sales”. The keynote will pull insight from Bell’s renowned book Wired and Dangerous to define how customers are taking over the Internet and how savvy companies can make it work to their advantage. Bell will also present “Sprinkles”, a plenary session based on his latest best seller of the same name, providing insight to attendees on the best ways to elevate the loyalty of today’s picky and fickle buyer.

Paul Cardis will present “Ratings to Reality”, a plenary session addressing how the home shopping paradigm has been completely redefined by e-commerce giants Amazon and Google. CR Herro, Vice President of Environmental Affairs, of leading builder Meritage Homes will unveil the two first-ever battery based home communities in his session, showcasing the game- changing return on investment to both the home builder and the consumers living there.

Additionally, the “Quality on Billion Dollar Projects – Lessons for Builders” plenary session will be led by President Bob Dunn of Hammes Company Sports Development. An internationally renowned athletic stadium builder and NFL owner’s representative for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, and other organizations, Dunn will share insights about delivering large-scale state-of-the-art facilities on time and on budget. A series of unique roundtable breakout sessions will also be presented by recognized industry leaders on August 12 and 13.

In addition to the educational component, the conference will feature the 2015 Avid Awards Dinner, an event that will recognize the industry’s highest scoring builders in customer satisfaction as well as the industry’s best employees. Following the awards presentation, many of the winners will be sharing their best practices for creating the ultimate home buying experience at the “Customer Delight Leadership – 2015 Avid Award Panel” co-hosted by Paul Cardis and CEO Jason Forrest of Forrest Performance Group.

Conference attendees are also invited to attend the PGA Championship at Whistler Straits golf course in nearby Kohler, Wisconsin on August 14. Compliments of Kohler®, the first 150 conference attendees to sign up will receive VIP admission to the Whistling Straits golf course and prestigious Wanamaker Club, in a day spent with world-famous golf pros with complimentary food and beverages in the private Wanamaker Club tent on the 9th hole.

The Avid Conference will be held at the Edgewater Hotel, Madison’s finest hotel. The event is expected to bring in 150 of the nation’s leading homebuilder executives. Participants will include homebuilders, developers, building product manufacturers, capital providers, consultants and other key industry advisors.
