Racing For Kids and IndyCar will sponsor an exciting line-up of special events for Milwaukee IndyFest weekend. Racing For Kids is the official charity of IndyFest.
Kicking off the weekend will be a Fun Fair on Friday, July 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the YMCA at Pabst Farms for participants in their Special Programs. The young members will be treated to an afternoon of IndyCar related activities with special appearances by IndyCar and Indy Lights drivers including Gabby Chaves, 2015 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year, four-time IndyCar Series race winner Simon Pagenaud and Indy Lights drivers Spencer Pigot, Shelby Blackstock, Ethan Ringel and Juan Piedrahita.
Highlight of the day will be a softball game with the kids and the IndyCar drivers on the YMCA’s Miracle Field.
The Milwaukee IndyFest showcar will also be on display giving children an opportunity to see, sit in and have their photos taken in a real IndyCar. Additional Fun Fair offerings will include the Firestone Firehawk, face painting, music, picnic fare from Kwik Trip and a keepsake bag with Racing For Kids, IndyCar and Milwaukee IndyFest souvenirs. Additional sponsors for the event include BMO Harris Bank, Pabst Farms, Verizon IndyCar Series, Kwik Trip and Andretti Sports Marketing.
Other race weekend events include bringing children from the YMCA Special Programs to the Milwaukee Mile on Saturday to be treated to a special VIP track experience, featuring IndyCar Champion Ryan Hunter-Reay. The outing is hosted by Racing For Kids, Andretti Sports Marketing and ABC Supply Co., Inc.

Racing For Kids
Founded in 1989 Racing For Kids is a Detroit-based national charity that uses the popularity of motorsports to focus public awareness and funding on the health care needs of children. Racing For Kids celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014 and has visited more than 28,000 children in more than 550 children’s hospitals in the United States, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Australia. It has raised more than $6 million for the hospitals visited and other children’s health institutions.
