Edgewood College: Announces new VP for student development

Madison, Wis. (July 7, 2015) – Edgewood College today announced that Anthony Chambers has been named Vice President for Student Development.

Dr. Chambers is currently serving as Associate Professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. Prior to his work at the University of Toronto, Dr. Chambers served as Associate Director and Associate Professor at the National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good, Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, at the University of Michigan. He is a frequent presenter on student development and the role of higher education, both across North America and around the world.

Dr. Chambers assumes his new role for the College in January 2016. Dr. Maggie Balistreri-Clarke, who served as Vice President for Student Development / Dean of Students for more than twenty years, announced her retirement earlier this year. Dr. Ryan Bouchard, Assistant Vice President for Student Development, will oversee the student development area in the interim.

Dr. Chambers holds two degrees from Illinois State University and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida.
