Quarles & Brady LLP: Franken elected as North American Conference Chair of The International Technology Law Association

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Milwaukee partner Jessica Franken has been elected as the 2015 North American Conference Chair of The International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw).

The committee oversees the North American Conferences that are held each spring. The World Technology Law Conference features presentations by more than 30 experts in technology law and is typically attended by close to 250 people from around the world. ITechLaw has members in 60 countries on six continents.

Franken is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. She works with companies to acquire and license technology and protect their intellectual property. She advises companies on data privacy and security issues that are fast becoming a critical issue for businesses to manage.

She received her law degree, high distinction, from the University of Arizona–James E. Rogers College of Law; her master’s degree, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University; her bachelor’s degree, high distinction, from the University of Arizona; and her Certificate of Executive Management from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
