The Dane County Farmers’ Market (DCFM) opens its outdoor season on Saturday, April 18 from 6 am to 2 pm. The Capitol Square in downtown Madison provides a unique setting for the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the nation. The DCFM brings tradition, the highest quality Wisconsin products, and tens of thousands of visitors on any given Saturday to Madison.
Warm days and the green of Spring make everyone excited to be back on the Square. Enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, cheese, meat, poultry, fish, honey, maple syrup, nuts, preserves, fresh eggs, baked goods, plants for the garden, fresh flowers, and more.
The Wednesday market opens on April 22 from 8:30 am to 2 pm. Located in the 200 block of MLK, Jr. Blvd. between the Capitol and Monona Terrace, it is the perfect location for a mid-day break at the office. Buy fresh ingredients for weekday meals and treats for the office. Enjoy the sights and smells of the market.
The DCFM outdoor markets are open every Saturday and Wednesday through early November–RAIN OR SHINE!

“The Dane County Farmers’ Market is the largest supplier of locally produced groceries in the area, and in the nation,” Says Bill Lubing, DCFM manager.
“As a producer-only market, you are buying directly from the source. The person who grows, makes, or raises it is the one who sells it. And who better to ask when it comes to preparing ingredients than the one who produced it?” Lubing asks.

During Saturday markets, the information booth is located at the top of State St. near the corner of West Mifflin St. and North Carroll St. EBT services for those enrolled in the FoodShare Program are also found at the information booth.
