MILWAUKEE, WI (March 31, 2015) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce that Attorney Joseph L. Olson has been chosen as one of Law360’s Rising Stars of 2015 in the Employment category. Olson is the only attorney based in Wisconsin to receive this honor and Michael Best is the only Wisconsin firm represented. Through their annual Rising Stars’ list, Law360 recognizes attorneys under the age of 40 whose legal accomplishments belie their age.

The 2015 Rising Stars list includes a total of 144 attorneys selected from a record 1,200 submissions. The honorees, which hail from 75 law firms and span 29 practice areas, are selected based on career accomplishments in their respective practice areas. Olson, a trial attorney and partner at Michael Best, was one of just five attorneys selected in his respective category.

Olson practices primarily in the areas of constitutional law, class action defense, product liability defense, employee benefits and complex commercial litigation matters. In addition to his trial practice, Olson has a successful appellate practice. He has handled numerous appellate cases in state and federal court and has had the pleasure of arguing before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Law360 is a subscription-based, legal newswire with more than 400,000 newsletter recipients each day.
