PhylloTech, LLC: Awarded RAPID Phase I SBIR grant from NSF

PhylloTech, LLC (Madison) announced that it was awarded a $200,000 RAPID Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The company will use their plant bioproduction platform to generate and secrete antibodies in a manner that avoids extraction and purification costs. “We are excited to apply our technology to the therapeutic antibody market,” said Danielle Wittenwyler, Ph.D., R&D Manager at PhylloTech. “Our platform could redefine antibody production with sustainable manufacturing practices and minimized costs.”
