This year – new partnerships, new leaders, new opportunities

(MADISON) – The Urban League of Greater Madison Young Professionals (“ULGMYP”) will be hosting its Second Annual Emerge Gala Presented by Quarles & Brady LLP on March 28, 2015 at the Best Western Inn on the Park, 22 South Carroll Street, Madison, WI, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The Second Annual Emerge Gala follows up on the momentum built with the first Emerge Gala in 2014, which was unprecedented in that it was the first time in our community seven young professional organizations supported a cause as community partners and enlisted three Mayors to declare the date of the event as Young Professionals Day in Greater Madison.

The Emerge Gala will once again bring outstanding young professional leaders together for an evening to celebrate their many contributions to our community. ULGMYP will recognize extraordinary young professionals who are excelling in their chosen professions and community leaders who have impacted the young professional community through mentoring and creation of growth opportunities. The Emerge Gala will also raise funds to support the Urban League of Greater Madison’s educational and workforce programs, as well as support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County. “Our support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County through philanthropy was a logical extension of our service to the Urban League of Greater Madison. Both organizations do a tremendous job supporting youth in our community,” said Nia Trammell President of the Urban League of Greater Madison Young Professionals. Trammell also noted that “ULGMYP is extremely excited about the quality of the young professionals and mentors being recognized at the Emerge Gala this year.”
