BUCKS TO HOST ANNUAL YMCA BASKETBALL SKILLS CLINIC

The Milwaukee Bucks will host 180 area youth at the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin Training Center (3501 S. Lake Drive) tomorrow, March 6, as part of the team’s annual YMCA basketball skills clinic. Bucks players Jerryd Bayless, John Henson, Damien Inglis, O.J. Mayo, Khris Middleton, Miles Plumlee, Tyler Ennis, Michael Carter-Williams and Zaza Pachulia, as well as assistant coaches Joe Prunty, Josh Oppenheimer and Eric Hughes, and Bucks mascot, Bango, are all scheduled to attend.

Beginning at 6 p.m., participants from six area YMCAs will rotate through seven stations manned by the Bucks players and coaches that will cover the fundamentals of shooting, free throws, rebounding, defensive positioning, passing, ballhandling and agility. Following the clinic, there will be a group photo-op with both the players and staff. The event will be closed to the general public, but media are welcome to attend. The children who will participate were pre-selected from various YMCA of Metro Milwaukee and Waukesha branches.

The Bucks have hosted the clinic annually for over a decade to promote basketball, fitness and the mission of the YMCAs.
