MONONA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UNVEILS NEW NAME AND NEW BRAND IDENTITY

Monona, WI – The Monona Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the unveiling of its new name and brand identity, the Monona East Side Business Alliance (MESBA). The new positioning presents a forward looking, collaborative, and innovative organization showcased in the new name and identity.

The new brand aims to broaden the organization’s mission to build a stronger community through member promotion and engagement, offering a wide variety of networking activities, economic development initiatives, and helping to foster job creation through business recruitment. The organization is comprised of approximately 300 members of all sizes, industries, and locations primarily in Monona and the east side but throughout all of Dane County. The new brand visually represents the dynamic nature of the organization—businesses of all types coming together to work as one unit moving forward with an eastward pointing arrow.

Executive Director Kristie Schilling stated, “We strive daily to create more value for our members, promote them as much as possible, create new fresh programming, and to truly partner with our members to help move our community forward. 2015 is our 25th anniversary and we felt it was time for a reinvention of our dynamic and growing organization.”

The new brand is being rolled out across the organization’s social channels, event marketing, and with a new website at MononaEastSide.com. The rebranding will be an ongoing process that reflects the dynamic and new thinking of this membership alliance. On March 4, the new brand identity will be presented to the membership at the Good Morning Monona quarterly breakfast series at Madison Turner Hall, 3001 S. Stoughton Road, Madison, WI 53716.

Monona East Side Business Alliance Board President, John Hecht, stated, “The rebranding reflects a fresh approach to the needs of the business community here in the Monona and east side area. We wanted our brand to reflect the broader economic trade area for the businesses in this region and to drive further investment for the benefit of the membership.”

The Monona Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year as a private, not for profit, membership-driven organization comprised of approximately 300 businesses, civic organizations, educational institutions and individuals.
