Summit Credit Union: Welcomes new managers to Cottage Grove and Westport branches in Madison

MADISON, Wis. —Summit Credit Union has named new branch managers to two of its branches in the Madison area.

Melanie Ruelas has been promoted to branch manager at Summit Credit Union’s Cottage Grove Branch, located at 6420 Cottage Grove Rd. in Madison. Ruelas has worked at Summit since 2008 in a variety of roles, most recently as assistant manager at the financial’s Sun Prairie branch. She has nearly 13 years of experience in the financial/banking industry and is a licensed lending underwriter and a State of Wisconsin Notary Public.

Ruelas holds a finance degree from Madison College and is a graduate of Marshall High School. She resides in Marshall, Wisconsin, with her husband and three children. Melanie has helped form initiatives with Marshall United Against Bullying and served on the board of the Marshall Youth Club. She volunteers time to support youth in Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) and serves on committees with the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce.

Samantha Annen brings more than 10 years of financial and banking experience to her position as manager at Summit Credit Union’s Westport branch, located at 5419 Blue Bill Park Dr. in Madison. Prior to her promotion to branch manager, she was assistant manager at the financial’s Old Sauk location and before that, she served as a financial service specialist at the Waunakee branch. She has also worked in accounting and personal banking roles at companies based in the Madison area.

Annen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and management from Herzing University in Madison and also attended Madison Area Technical College. A graduate of Lodi High School, she resides in Dane, Wisconsin, with her husband and two children.
