Forward Health Group Highly Ranked in Early Data from
KLAS Population Health Performance Report

December 11, 2014 (Madison, WI) – KLAS’ newly released report on Population Health Performance (December 2014 ©2014 KLAS Enterprises, LLC. All rights reserved.) designated Forward Health Group as a “High Performing” vendor based on early data.

KLAS is a leading research company focused on improving health care delivery by accurately and impartially measuring vendor performance for health care providers. The new report aggregates input about vendors providing population health platforms.

Report authors cited Forward Health Group’s high overall score, “Their early KLAS score of 87.2 represents one of the highest scores in the study.” Elsewhere in the report the authors noted, “Forward Health Group performs well for customers because it enables them to understand where their patients need the most care and allows them to see the results of their action plan.”

In the report, researchers identified four pillars of population health management: data aggregation, risk stratification, care management and patient engagement. The early data on Forward Health Group (and its PopulationManager® platform) showed that it was the only vendor reviewed to score above the market average in all four of these domains.

“We view the recognition of Forward Health Group by the KLAS Population Health Performance Report as an enormous validation of our unique data harvesting model,” said Forward Health Group Founder/CEO, Michael Barbouche. “Not only are we part of the conversation, we’re a key player in the conversation and we believe it’s because we were focused solely on population health before the market was. Now the ‘big guys’ are involved, but we’re still making an impact. It’s a true ‘David vs. Goliath’ market.”

The KLAS rankings and ratings were derived through interviews of current clients of each reviewed vendor. Survey respondents rated Forward Health Group high in speed-to-value, breadth of offering and overall performance.

In addition, the early data rates Forward Health Group as a top vendor in the following categories: Contracting Experience, Money’s Worth, Ease of Use, Keeps Promises, Forecasted Overall Satisfaction, Part of Long-Term Plans, and most importantly, Ranked Client’s Best Vendor. One hundred percent of Forward Health Group clients interviewed reported that they would buy Forward Health Group’s Population Health platform again. One provider using Forward Health Group explained why he is satisfied:

“PopulationManager® does things I have never seen anything else do. I can actually select patients with a blood pressure above 140 and A1c above 9, and I can find all the patients who fit into that high-risk group. I can then select diabetes and hypertension, and the system will show me the 22 patients who meet all of the criteria and their insurers. I have never seen a product that works so quickly to allow me to aggregate high-risk patients.”

“I’m grateful for the rich feedback our clients have given us in this report,” Barbouche said. “We view it as both a validation of the work we’ve done and a roadmap for the work still to do as we continue to help them drive real improvement.”
