Joins Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s “The Big Bundle Up” Charity Drive



Eagle, Wis.–Old World Wisconsin invites guests attending the historic site’s one-of-a-kind holiday events December 6-7 and 13-14 to drop off new or gently used outerwear, accessories and other warm clothing items as part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s statewide “The Big Bundle Up” campaign.



This is the fourth year of the program. To date, the initiative has collected more than 32,000 winter items to help warm up families in need throughout the state. All items donated at Old World Wisconsin will be given to The Women’s Center in Waukesha. The mission of this organization is to provide safety, support and shelter to women and their families and to facilitate their development. The organization is especially in need of children’s winter jackets, snow pants, boots, and plus-sized hoodies, shirts, and sweatpants.



Guests may bring their items to the following events, which occur at Old World Wisconsin December 6-7 and 13-14:

An Old World Christmas: No reservations are required to attend the event, which runs from 10 am to 5 pm each day. Admission: Adults $10; children 5-12 $7; children 4 and under free.

Overview of Old World Wisconsin
Old World Wisconsin is located in the Milwaukee/Chicago/Madison triangle.The outdoor museum features 19th- and early 20th-century Midwestern immigrant farm and rural life. In 2014, the museum launched “Catch Wheel Fever!”, a hands-on 1890s cycling experience, to great guest response. During the daily operating season May through October the museum offers family friendly activities, led by period-clad interpreters, as they visit 10 working farmsteads, explore 12 heirloom gardens, interact with heritage animal breeds, and try historic crafts and trades.
