Body Mechanics Physical Therapy: Highly-regarded Body Mechanics Physical Therapy expands to Madison

Clinic Director Adam Lindsey brings specialized training and certifications to Madison area

Madison, WI, October 6, 2014 – Body Mechanics Physical Therapy , a highly-regarded practice founded in Milwaukee in 1999, announced today it will expand into Madison with a third location scheduled to open Monday, November 3rd at 2450 Rimrock Road. The independent physical therapy practice named Adam Lindsey, MPT, DPT, FCFMT, FAAOMPT, as Physical Therapy Director for the new Madison clinic. Body Mechanics has locations in downtown Milwaukee and suburban Pewaukee.

“Establishing a clinic in Madison is a logical next step for us given the close proximity to metro Milwaukee and the number of active referral relationships we have in the Madison area,” said Body Mechanics founder Andy Kerk, PT, CFMT, ATC. “Further, the opportunity to partner and grow with a therapist of Adam Lindsey’s caliber also heavily influenced our decision to expand.”

With the opening of the new Madison clinic, Lindsey becomes Madison’s only Institute of Physical Art (IPA)-certified Functional Manual Therapist as well as the only local therapist certified in BikePT, a specialized training in proper bike fitting and form for cyclists.

Lindsey has practiced in a variety of settings including Meriter Health Services in Madison, Johnson & Johnson in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and UW Health Partners in Watertown. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and from Temple University in 2010 with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. He also continues to serve as a continuing education instructor for the IPA.

With a highly personalized and cross-functional approach, Lindsey treats clients of all ages and activity levels, most of whom have non-surgical acute and chronic muscular skeletal issues.

“My goal is to maximize our patients’ wellness, functionality and performance while at the same time addressing any issues with pain or improper form whether at play or at work,” Lindsey explained. “I focus treatment on structural alignment and neuromuscular activity, and how these two areas combine and apply to patients’ daily tasks and activities.”

An avid runner and biker, Lindsey enjoys a variety of active pursuits with his wife and son.
