About the new day and time: The Downtown Family Halloween was previously held on the last Friday of October, as Madison schools had traditionally had that day off. However, the Madison schools schedule has changed, and there are no days off in late October. After careful consideration, Wed. Oct. 29 was selected as a day that our partner organizations could present activities, and which did not conflict with other downtown events or community Halloween events. We hope the 3:00-6:00 pm time frame allows both pre-school and school-age children and families to participate!

These Halloween family fun events are presented by Madison’s Central Business Improvement District (BID), and the Greater State Street Business Association.

Programming Partners who will help present activities and events include Capitol Kids, MadCAP, Madison Children’s Museum, Madison Public Library’s Central Library, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, Madison Parks, Overture Center for the Arts and the Wisconsin Historical Museum.

Thanks to our sponsors for making this event possible: DreamBank – American Family Insurance, The University Book Store, IsthmusParents.com, and University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus and Visitor Relations.
